Paintboxes & Tiny Brushes is a newsletter about life in my studio, behind -the-scenes, what’s on the easel (and sometimes the floor), projects, musings, the occasional gallery visit and definitely a how-to or two! I also teach workshops, and I love to learn. Come with me on this journey with my tiny paintbox, and even tinier brushes…

I’m a painter, printmaker, illustrator, animator, sketchbooker, oh yeah - and mother of one brilliant human / mini-muse. Expect thoughts on a lot of different things!

I love (in no particular order) all the paint, seeking out art material shops in whatever town / city / country I am in, Lepidoptera, beetles (the crawly kind), Pickles (my cat and the jarred variety), erudite books on art history (esp. feminism & motherhood), Greek Mythology, the colour red, Star Trek TNG, gold leaf, arty children’s books, decaf lattes and nerdy art chat with friends. Any or all of this might be discussed in future newsletters…we’ll see.
